So in the meantime we've waited...but not the bon-bon eating, relaxing, kind of waiting. Oh no, this has been mayhem and craziness waiting.
Grandma Linda stayed with us until Thursday at 5 a.m. when Grandpa Tony could taxi her back home to her holler.
Tuesday I taught at night.
Wednesday we moved. Wednesday night we spent the first night at Groovy House.
Thursday-Friday-Saturday we worked on Un-Groovy House's clean up and turn over.
Saturday night we went to celebrate an impending cousins' arrival and the kiddo's played at Groovy House with some other cousins. It's always good to be with family.
Sunday we worked on Groovy House--organizing the Master Closet, Laundry Room tiling (I'm a tiler!), going to a football game and hanging a closet rod in the basement for winter coat storage.
Today, Uncle Tom called and said that the judge had made his ruling and that he'd NOT terminated our guardianship. "Good News-Bad News" He said he'd call RD and get back with me. He called right back and said that RD said he'd come today at 3 to sign his consent for adoption papers. He also asked about seeing Our Girl to say goodbye. UT told him that they could talk about that when he signed the papers.
We haven't heard yet if he showed up.
We're still waiting.
6 p.m. Called UT and he said that RD came and SIGNED the PAPERS! WOO HOO! :)
We're so excited, we can hardly believe it. It doesn't feel real!
We're not exactly sure what's next for us, but there's a BIG sigh of relief tonight coming from Groovy House!
Yippee!
Yippee!
Yippee!
