Bowling!

The Saturday after Chasity moved in with us we were planning to celebrate with my family for our February Birthday Extravaganza. We have THREE February birthdays and decided it would be fun to get together to celebrate. Since we have seven chidlren 10 and under when we're all together we decided that it would be wise to DO something instead of just hang out...because who knows what the kids would decide to do if we didn't! :) We went to my favorite bowling alley McBo's in Versailles. We got there and the manager of McBo's took all the kids out to the alley and taught them the "rules" of bowling (Brennan hates this part! But since Chasity had never been bowling, it was definitely appropriate!). Then we found the kids bowling balls. Chasity said she couldn't carry hers from the shelves because it was too heavy. Drama. How are you going to bowl if you won't carry your ball? Yikes. Well, it didn't take long...after cousin Micky bowled and she witnessed his smooth style--she was psyched! She couldn't WAIT to bowl! We had a great time.

After bowling we ate pizza. Be still my heart, this kid LOVES banana peppers...almost as much as me! She loves pizza too! Then we went to my parents house for some more fun and birthday cake (specialized cakes for each person...red velvet for me, white chocolate for Erin and cherry pie for Shawn--does my mom rock or what!?!). It was a fun night--introducing Chasity to the rest of the crew (or at least part of em'!) and bowling for the first time.
